Es una composición rock, con aires "gospel", en la que la voz de Freddie Mercury (su compositor) se explaya con escalas de voz muy complicadas, con coros hechos por Mercury, Brian May y Roger Taylor, teniendo un aire rock y de balada, con una letra fuertemente religiosa. Fue influenciada por los coros de bandas blues y de jazz, en las que predominan los juegos de voces. En ese corte, el productor musical Roy Baker utiliza la técnica de duplicidad de voces en multicanales al estilo del fragmento operÃstico de Bohemian Rapsody. La voz predominante en este caso es la de R. Taylor para los registros más altos luego la de Freddie y por último la de May para las notas más graves. El resultado es un Gospel in crescendo que culmina con un desgarrador "somebody to love" en el cual Freddie recorre varias notas cambia de escala e incluso se escucha cuando toma aire para descargar las últimas notas. Destacable también es el caracterÃstico "attack" ( entrada del solo) de Brian May con la guitarra, como casi siempre imperceptible y fundido en esta canción con los registros altos de Taylor. Esta técnica hace que no se rompa la continuidad sonora ni la belleza de una balada-rock con la entrada del solo. Este efecto es un sello distintivo de Brian May (por ejemplo: Killer Queen o Play The Game). Desde el punto de vista de la lÃrica, Somebody to Love es el tema que mejor podrÃa definir la vida sentimental de Mercury; muchas parejas esporádicas pero nadie realmente a quien amar. Podemos destacar como detalle adicional que era una de las canciones favoritas de Freddie para interpretar en directo, puesto que desde su publicacion en 1976 hasta Works tour siempre fue interpretada en vivo. Incluso Queen la llego a interpretar ante 320 mil almas en el festival Rock in RÃo en el año 1985 en la ciudad RÃo de Janeiro. Descrição do Vídeo: The head of the UN agency in Gaza running the school that was attacked by Israel forces has rejected claims that Hamas fighters were inside the converted shelter. The Israeli military accused Hamas of using civilians sheltering inside the building as "human shields" and said its troops had returned fire after fighters fired mortars at their positions from within al-Fakhora school in the Jabaliya refugee camp. But John Ging, the director of operations in Gaza for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (Unrwa), told reporters that he had visited the school during a three-hour lull in the fighting on Wednesday and "was reassured by the management of the school ... that there were no militants in the school". Ging added that these were his "own staff, senior, experienced, long-serving staff". "I am very confident now that there was no militant activity inside the school nor militants in the school," he said. He also reiterated a call for an independent investigation into the incident. "If anybody has evidence to the contrary, then let's bring it forward," Ging said. The Israeli strike on Tuesday left 43 Palestinians dead and about 100 injured. At least 700 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza and nearly 3,085 wounded since Israel's military offensive began on December 27. Seven Israeli soldiers and three civilians have died in the same period. The Israeli army said on Wednesday it stood by its statement issued the day before in which it claimed that mortars had been fired "from within" the school, but then issued another statement later dropping the word "within" to say "mortar fire from" the school. Chris Gunness, a spokesman for Unrwa, said this was "an extremely important distinction because we have been accused of very serious allegations that our premises were being used to fire rockets". Michel Abdel Massih QC, a London-based international human rights lawyer, also called for an independent investigation. "If [Israeli] claims are to be tested properly we need an independent tribunal. The International Criminal Court was set up to deal with these issues, so there is a mechanism for the UN security council to refer the case for investigation," he told Al Jazeera. When asked if Israel would allow such an investigation, Mark Regev, a spokesman for the Israeli prime minister, said Israel had already held an "initial investigation" which found that troops had returned fire from the UN building. Regev accused Hamas, the Palestinian faction that controls the Gaza Strip, of committing a "war crime" by using those sheltering in the UN school as "a human shield". Contrary to the open policy that was in place during the 2006 war on Lebanon, and despite a ruling by Israel's Supreme Court on December 31, ordering the government to allow the international media into Gaza, Israel has closed the border completely since it began bombing the besieged Palestinian territory on December 27. Earlier this week the Israeli army agreed to allow eight journalists into Gaza itself, but sources in the Foreign Press Association say that since the decision the crossings have not opened. Reporting from Gaza has been limited to those journalists who were already in the Strip before the assault began, or local media outlets. "There are masses of requests," Noam Katz, director of public relations at the Foreign Ministry told Haaretz. "A reporter from CNN stands there and protests the state's decision on the air." Israel began the media ban early November, when its six-month ceasefire with Hamas completely unraveled. However, the ban was eventually lifted after the Foreign Press Association (FPA) in Israel petitioned the Israeli Supreme Court, and editors from a number of foreign media outlets sent a letter of protest to the Israeli government. Israel says that it has implemented this ban to prevent something happening to foreign correspondents that could hinder Israel's operations.
